Rant
This has been on my mind for weeks…
As of recently I was told that I should be taking pictures only of girls who are “8 or 10s” like “Gina and Joanna Angel.”
The problem with this for me is that everyone is a 10 in my eyes. Everyone is worth being photographed. I love meeting beautiful men and women and capturing their sexuality on film. I think everyone should be able to express their sexuality regardless of how “attractive” they are to modern societys standards. Regardless of their sexuality. I want to show all kinds of humans expressing their sexuality and beauty. The idea of only taking pictures of people that are deemed attractive by porn or fashion standards makes me want to vomit.
I do not conform. I will not conform. I was raised to be independent. I was raised to believe in what I do.
Yumna reminded me the other day that from day one, my goal has always been to express the sexuality of different people regardless of looks or what not.
It’s frustrating to hear from people that someone isn’t good enough when I think they are absolutely perfect.
Since leaving school this has become a huge stress point for me. Will people respect me for this? I’ve already lost friends because of my “pornographic art.” Will I be able to consisntely express what I feel is right?
All I know..
is that as long as I can sleep at night, I’m miles ahead of a lot people.

Those were not friends and ignore all bullshit. It took me a while to learn that people were just not on my level.

It is of my observation that most people have awful taste and no idea what they are talking about.

the people you photograph are all 10’s. whoever is comfortable enough with themselves to allow themselves to be photographed in their most pure human form automatically makes them so.

i love you and i totally agree with the fact that you think everyone should be able to express their sexuality, regardless of how they look. keep photographing, keep creating and please keep sharing it with the world, because they (and I
need to see it.

Of course some people will say you should only photograph perfect 10 models, and those people can always go look at the 98% of porn that is already out there. I don’t agree that the girls you shoot are absolutely perfect, and actually that’s why I like them-because they’re not perfect. Just keep in the back of your mind the fact that there are A LOT of people who really really like your pictures, and your attitude towards porn. Unfortunately for everybody who appreciates it, there are always plenty of douchenozzles who just don’t get it.

I love the women you photograph and I don’t put them on some sort of ridiculous 1-10 scale. They’re all uniquely beautiful and, between their natural selves and your photography, they simply ooze sensuality and erotic energy. I have yet to see anything here that wasn’t positively (and I mean that word in several senses) beautiful.
The way stereotypical porn girls are often presented is simply boring - the excessive makeup and photo editing removes all the personality and humanity from such photos. I love what you do and I hope you continue to do it for a long time.

there’s a big difference between beauty and it what is stereotypically “beauty”.
I think there is a lot of beauty in eccentricity, and in imperfection.
keep doing your thing.

I absolutely love the photographs you have shared.
I loved them even more because they weren’t cloned and retouched and nipped and tucked. It’s inspiring to see an actual real bodied person embracing and owning their sexuality.
That’s what initially attracted me to your site. Everyone is interesting and not processed.
I hope you continue to post photos. I really enjoy them & get quite excited when new ones are up. You have an eye for capturing beauty, in all of it’s forms.

your photos, and the people in them are beautifully awesome. fuck conformity, and keep doing what you do

you know I love you (which is why I want to show your work).
Rant it out girl.
Someone needs to change society’s ridiculous norms before we all get body dysmorphic disorder.

I came over here because of your twitter. It’s not like I can persuse this site on a regular basis / because of work and all that ish, so I am not to up on your work. All I can say is this - we would sexual imagery that’s honest - and that will give us good ideas / imagery when we want to get off. Imagery that equals scenarios we can actually imagine ourselves in. If everybody did the norm / porn - I think I would find no interest in it. It’s not something we can relate to. And that’s where I am at right now, so keep doing as real stuff as you can - it keeps it real.

Beautifully expressed Sinead. And remember that your own mind as it is expressed on this blog for instance is equally worthy of being captured and shared with the world. Sounds corny but your point of view is not trivial - you’re a young artist compelled to create.
I have now doubt that you will continue to develop your expression and keep making us all come back for more.
Remember - the future is unwritten

You should continue to photograph the people that you find interesting . Looking at “perfect 10’s ” is only interesting up to a point . After that it can become pretty bland . I love the people in your photographs because they’re real . They are your friends and people you find interesting . That’s all that counts . I love looking at your photographs because I can see how you’re getting better and better with each set .

I think the purpose of art is ultimately to elicit an emotional response, in that I believe that your work opens a separate vein from the mainstream. Your use of real women who clearly enjoy what they do cuts through the barrier between subject and consumer. They convey the emotion that everyone wants to experience. Conventional porn reduces sexuality to slices of meat in a cooler. Your compositions bring heat, and unity, and ultimately, life. Keep doing what your doing.

Stick to YOUR convictions Baby!!! We here admire your photographs and views that sexuality should be expressed in different ways!!! Anyways, beauty is in the eye of the beholder…and you have a great eye for talent. So, keep up the good work!!

I ban comments and commenters that outright attack models(who do deserve to read obnoxious or cruel comments) or people feel the need to leave commments that are just attacking my body for no reason. I have never blocked someone from accessing my site because they don’t share my views, I have banned people who HARASS me from the site.
This is my blog. And my RULES. If you want to harass me and leave comments that have nothing to do with anything of course I’m going to ban you from accessing the site. I don’t really need to deal with commenters who tell me I’m a fat whore and going to hell on a daily basis.
There is a big difference between being rude and intelligently disagreeing with me.
I don’t see any reason to allow trolls who can’t leave real emails, websites or names(you say “ok sinead…seriously” but you left your name as Uncle Dick …. am I suppose to really take you seriously like that) on my blog.
Now you say that people do leave negative comments - I moderate and allow those comments to stay up. So obviously I do allow discussion.

honestly, the fact you post real women makes me feel so much better about myself. that hey i’m not a traditional 8 or 10 or whatever, but I AM a sexy and beautiful in my own right and it’s okay to be that. i love your pictures you make all of these women looks so beautiful..and plus the confidence they show is inspiring.

I’ve recently started reading your blog, and I’ve got to say, I absolutely love and agree with you. You’re gorgeous and everyone you photograph has this brilliant energy and life about them; The kind that makes you want to talk to them fuck them anywhere and you don’t even know why. Please don’t listen to anyone else but your own intuition, it’s never let anyone here down.

One of the reasons I find your photography so interesting is the fact that you include real people. As previously said it allows people who aren’t perfect by porn standards (which last time I checked is the majority of the population) to see themselves in your photos as beautiful and as worthy of being desired as the models you shoot and we have a word for people who don’t understand that…assholes. Your photos are more alt. than they could ever understand.
